Fire Department

American Falls Fire Department’s Mission is to help people. We are dedicated to preserving life and property through prevention and professional, compassionate response. We strive to reduce loss of life and property through innovative approaches , technology, informed discussions, high standards, fiscal responsibility and collaborative relationships.

American Falls Fire Department operates on a volunteer basis for the citizens and visitors of American Falls area out of 1 station #1 includes C-1 1989 Peirce Dash, C-2 1979 Chevrolet which are the City’s frontline pumpers. Included in the station are: 1 tanker (3220 gallons), 2 light brush trucks (300 gallons each), and 2 heavy brush trucks (700 gallons each). 1 rescue unit which belongs to American Falls Rural Fire District. M.O.U’s are in place between the City of American Falls and American Falls Rural Fire District.

The American Falls Fire Department  is made up o1 Fire Chief, 1 Asst. Chief, 2 Safety Officers, 2 Training Officers, 4 Rapid Intervention Team Officers (RIT), and 2 Pumper Operator Officers.

Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. These meeting are dedicated apparatus checks and maintenance. On the 4th Wednesday of every month there is training for the firemen.  

The American Falls volunteer firemen spend countless hours training in order to become more knowledgeable and stay updated on issues that face us in the fire service today. We must be prepared for what is to come in the future of the fire service.

As volunteer firemen these gentlemen take their jobs seriously and act in a professional and caring manner at all times.

American Falls is truly a wonderful place to live.
